rivers

and again

for the millionth time, hesitating
never getting it right, almost perfect
convincing yourself deliberately, and again
for the missed moments, pondering by and by
shaking the fists at inadequate memories
and spending time on the surroundings
temporarily occupying the senses
with the insanity of a different source
wander on, you do, through these woods
breathing, thinking, judging, calculating,
and pretending to seek the answer

  • Dude..
If you can take some criticism, read on. I have been writing songs for sometime and what I have found is that great song reflect your experience. Something you have felt...or Something that you dear ones have experienced. Write to create a image .. not to pass a message.. You may be writing poems that are (say complex)... but still... it should create a image in the mind of the reader..(like the end- morrison)...
you may say that I do this for myself...and I dont care...( :))

    2 songs ....

Eddie Vedder introduced it as a song about "abusive relationships." It is often thought that Vedder had written it from a woman's perspective about an abusive relationship. Before performing the song at Pearl Jam's show in Atlanta, Georgia on April 3, 1994 Vedder clearly says "it's dedicated to the bastard that married my Momma."
