resisting value

they say it's adding
adding to my life
my knowledge of stuff
but i'm always resisting

i open the book
and i'm troubled
by the why and why not
so i'm always resisting

feeling carnivorous
the words make sense
but the purpose is vague
and i'm always resisting

but i should read
for this is my karma
more so my dharma
but i'm always resisting
